How to set up Printing in Kroll
1) While in Kroll click File>Configuration>Work Station
2) Enter the student credentials and click Login to continue
3) Optional: A notification window may list available printers. If prompted, click OK to continue. Otherwise, you can skip to the next step
4) Make sure you on the Station Configuration>Label Printers tab then press the Ins button or the Insert key on your keyboard
5) From the Edit Stock-Printer/Tray Mapping window, select the following before clicking OK...
Stock - Kroll Laser Labels
Printer - Microsoft Print to PDF for [username] by Parallels
Tray - (Default tray)
Default for stock fill the check box
Note: If Microsoft Print to PDF for [username] by Parallels does not appear or your username is not listed, close out the Station Configuration window and go back to the first step to retry.
6) Click on the Other Printers Tab, and make sure that the printer under Report Printer and Kroll Care Printer are selected to Microsoft Print to PDF for [username] by Parallels. If you do not select this printer, you will NOT be able to print your unfilled Rxs. You do not need to select a tray for either printer.
Note:When starting each lab make sure to check your printer settings, especially the Report Printer and Kroll Care Printer. If these are blank you will NOT be able to print your unfilled Rxs.
7) Click OK to save and close the Station Configuration window once your printer and tray mapping is complete
Printing Processed Prescriptions to PDF
“Microsoft Print to PDF for [username] by Parallels” virtual printer can be used to save your processed prescriptions as a PDF file to your local computer. The PDF file will be uploaded to Quercus for grading. An example of printing a processed prescription from Kroll follows. Please review and follow these steps carefully so that you don’t lose your work!
1) Once you are ready click “F12 - Fill Rx”.
2) Please review all the instructions in this step prior to proceeding.
In the “Save Print Output As” window click Desktop on the left hand side. Enter a file name and click Save
Note: if you selected Microsoft Print to PDF instead of the redirected Microsoft Print to PDF for [username] by Parallels virtual printer, you will have to expand This PC in the Save Print Output as dialog, select C on [Your Computer Name]\Users\[username]\Desktop\, enter a filename and click Save
